Tommy Rushing attended the University of Alabama, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s of Science in Nursing degree. He earned his Certified Nurse Practitioner’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing and family nursing. Mr. Rushing is a proud member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the International Associations of EMTs and Paramedics. He has been recognized by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Delta Epsilon lota Academic Honor Society, and the Golden Key International Honor Society. He and wife Lindsey founded the Libby’s Light Shines Foundation, named after their first daughter, helping Wiregrass families with children battling cancer meet specific treatment-related needs.
